Interior

The F-150 is available today in seven total trims, and they run the gamut from a stripped down work vehicle to a luxury-filled family truck. The interior of the F-150 will vary based on the trim, but, the higher trim levels offer premium materials for optimal comfort.

Many drivers use the F-150 as a mobile workspace. The shift lever can be folded down so one can utilize the center console for a flat workspace. Don't forget that the F-150 offers a Wi-Fi hotspot, so those who travel a lot for work can have everything they need in the F-150. Those who might want to camp or otherwise enjoy the great outdoors may opt for one of the trims that offer front seats that can fold flat, making them great for naps when you're out and about.

Exterior

The F-150's exterior is ruggedly handsome. Drivers can choose from an array of bed lengths as well as cab configurations. Families especially love the crew cab and the super cab which can fit up to five passengers. Upper trim levels, including the King Ranch, Platinum and Limited offer a tailgate step as well as locking, cleat-style tie-downs. Drivers may choose the Bed Utility package in the XL, XLT, Lariat and Tremor models as an option.

What Are the Trims of the F-150?

• The XL is the base trim, and it has everything a work truck needs.

Towing and Payload Capacity/Performance

The F-150 offers multiple engine choices, depending on the trim level: a 3.3-liter V6, a 5.0-liter V8, a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel. Each engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. There is also a mild-hybrid powertrain in the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 paired with a 35 kW electric motor.

All drivers may choose between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive no matter the trim level.

The hybrid motor will offer drivers 700 miles of driving range, and the truck will also offer an onboard generator.

The Tremor model sits on 33 inch all-terrain tires, and the suspension has been specifically tuned to provide the best off-road capability. The transfer case of the Tremor was utilized previously on the Raptor

The base engine, the 3.3-liter V6, offers up to 8,200 pounds of towing capacity and a maximum payload of 1,840 pounds. However, those drivers who choose the 5.0-liter V8 engine can expect up to 13,000 pounds of towing power. The top payload capacity of the F-150 is 3,250 pounds.
