Trim Levels and Exterior Features in the New Ford Explorer
There are eight Ford Explorer trims, each with a few exterior features that differ from the others. The Ford Explorer trims include the following:

A twin-panel moonroof is available on all Ford Explorer models except the base model. It lets in a lot of light, provides a wide-angle view of the sky, and warms up the interior. - A 3.0L EcoBoost V6 - The Ford Explorer ST, King Ranch, and Platinum models have this engine. This turbocharged, direct injection engine has Auto Start-Stop technology and generates 400 horsepower and 415 pounds-feet of torque.
- The 3.3L V6 Hybrid - The Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid and Platinum Hybrid have this engine. It provides 318 horsepower and 322 pounds-feet of torque and is the most fuel-efficient of the three engines.
Additionally, when outfitted with the Class IV Trailer Tow Package, the 2023 Ford Explorer has the power to tow up to 5,600 pounds.
