What’s new in the 2024 Mustang
For latest model year, the Mustang GT and EcoBoost models will now offer an available Performance Pack equipment upgrade. If you select the Performance Pack you’ll be getting wider tires, a Torsen limited-slip differential, a front strut-tower brace, larger Brembo brakes and a special MagneRide active dampening suspension system. Other available performance upgrades i include an active exhaust and sporty Recaro bucket seats.

Who says American cars aren’t fun to drive any more? The newest edition of the Mustang offers an available Performance Electronic Parking Brake that allows the Mustang to drift more easily in a controlled wheel slide. So fasten your seat belts. Ford is also introducing a new Mustang Dark Horse trim that's engineered for the track. It’s equipped with a ferocious 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine that can deliver an incredible 500 horsepower. Performance-minded East Hartford drivers can ramp up this engine even more with forceful upgrades like an aggressive track package that includes Pirelli® RS tires.
Interior highlights in the new 2024 Ford Mustang
To complement the exciting changes under the hood, there are some equally exciting upgrades inside the cockpit. Examples include an available 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster with updated graphics, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a large available 13.2-inch infotainment screen. Ford is also adding overhead USB ports for dash cameras and the Dark Horse trim has an anodized titanium blue shift mechanism that’s another dynamic interior touch that West Hartford, CT buyers will appreciate.
New engine options in the 2024 Mustang
The Mustang offers Hartford, CT drivers a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 as well as a 2.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The amazing Coyote V8 has a redesigned dual air intake box plus a dual throttle body to help this car breathe more easily. In the GT coupe and convertible models the engine output is 486 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque. The star of the show is the Mustang Dark Horse that cranks out 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque, making this the most powerful production Mustang ever.
The new Mustang excels when it’s on the clock
The new 2024 Ford Mustang takes speed to a whole new level. Even with the entry-level 4-cylinder engine and the 10-speed automatic, the High Performance package can take you to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The Mustang GT coupe is even faster, hitting 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and if you get the Mustang GT convertible time from zero to 60 mph is a scorching 3.9 seconds. The ultimate experience is the Mustang Dark Horse with the automatic transmission that can get to 60 mph in a blur at 3.7 seconds.
