New 2022 Ford Bronco for Sale or Lease in Windsor, CT

The new 2022 Ford Bronco: Off-road attitude and on-road comfort

Is it possible for one vehicle to be awesome off the beaten path and yet civilized enough for driving around town? For the one-dimensional Jeep Wrangler, the answer, unfortunately, is no. For the new Ford Bronco, the answer is a resounding yes. The Bronco at Mitchell Selig Ford rivals the Wrangler's rugged demeanor in the great outdoors, with features like removable doors, yet it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable back on real pavement.

Performance

The standard engine in the new Ford Bronco at Mitchell Selig Ford in Windsor CT is a turbocharged four-cylinder that produces a pugnacious 300 horsepower. If you want to be more forceful, you could move up to the twin-turbo V6, giving you 330 horsepower. A ten-speed transmission comes with both engines and if you want to be more engaged in driving, you can select a seven-speed manual with the smaller engine.

All 2022 Ford Broncos come with four-wheel drive and, according to Car & Driver, the Bronco's independent front suspension is "more sophisticated" than Jeep's front axle. Additional rough-and-tumble Bronco options include 35-inch mud-terrain tires, electronic locking front and back differentials and a sway-bar disconnect. The new Bronco has credible off-road chops, able to tow 3500 pounds, which is just as much as the Jeep Wrangler.

Fuel economy

If saving on gas is a high priority, the four-cylinder with the automatic is the most penny-pinching option, with miles-per-gallon estimated at 20 on city streets and 22 on highways. If you choose the V6 engine and add the Sasquatch package with the big, oversized tires, you'll be more formidable off-road even if you do sacrifice a little fuel economy as you drive around East Hartford or West Hartford CT.

Interior

If you want options, you've come to the right SUV. The new 2022 Ford Bronco can be dialed up with two or four doors, hard tops, soft tops and body panels you can remove. That means you can open up to fresh air just as much as in the Jeep Wrangler. To be sure you don't lose important tech stuff, the Bronco has a rack built into the dashboard for mounting your smartphone in place.

Want even more fresh air? The Bronco's frameless doors can be easily removed and then you can store them on-board. After you open up the cabin to the elements, you might be wondering what happens to all the rain and snow and mud that comes pounding in? Bronco thought of that and offers available rubberized flooring and vinyl upholstery that's marine-grade. The four-door model has three seats in the back and more cargo space.

Infotainment

In the middle of the new 2022 Ford Bronco's dashboard is a touchscreen with either an 8- or 12-inch area. The Bronco is able to connect to the cloud and to your smartphone wirelessly. You'll have easy access to your favorite apps thanks to the Bronco's smartphone compatibility for both Apple and Android devices. If you want to upgrade your entertainment experience in the Bronco, you can choose a powerful Bang & Olufsen stereo.

Safety, even for the gnarliest off-roading

The Ford Bronco never stops being tough: One of its most innovative safety features is a system that actually makes rock crawling at low speeds easier. Browse our growing selection of 2022 Ford Bronco models and take a test drive and watch it beat the Jeep Wrangler in terms of being multi-talented, both on- and off-road. We'll see you soon at Michell Selig Ford, not far from Hartford in Windsor CT.
